Comparison
EasyUse vs ServiceM8.
ServiceM8 does not charge per user; it charges by plan and by how many jobs you create each month. Here is how that compares with EasyUse's flat price for a small landscaping or garden-maintenance firm, and where ServiceM8 is the better pick.
We make EasyUse, so we have an interest. Everything about ServiceM8 below comes from its own public UK pages, read in a web browser on 3 November 2026. Each claim carries a number that links to the page and date at the end. Plans change, so check before you decide. Where we could not find something on those pages, we say so; that is not the same as it being missing.

The short answer
ServiceM8 is a job-management app for trades and service businesses. Its pricing page says it does not charge per user; the paid plans have unlimited users and what grows the price is the number of jobs you create each month[1]. Its industry list includes lawn care[1]; we did not see landscaping or gardening named on the two pages we read.
ServiceM8 lists more than EasyUse does, including offline access, automatic GPS time tracking, online card payments and Xero sync. If you are a one-person gardener with a few jobs a month, its free plan may be all you need. If you run a crew with many recurring visits, the job allowance and what counts as a job are the things to check. EasyUse has no job limit: £15 per month for the whole business, with unlimited users and jobs.

What it costs
The question for a maintenance firm is how many jobs you create. If each visit to each customer is a job, a crew doing 20 visits a day over a working month creates several hundred jobs, which on its published allowances points to the Premium plan at £119 a month[1]. If a recurring job counts once however many visits it produces, a lower plan may do. We could not tell from the pages we read, so ask ServiceM8 how recurring maintenance visits count against the monthly allowance before you rely on the lower plans.
EasyUse is £15 a month whatever the number of jobs or people, which is £180 over a year.
Where ServiceM8 is stronger
- A free plan. A solo gardener with up to 30 jobs a month can start for nothing[1]. EasyUse has no free plan after the pilot.
- Time and location. Auto time tracking using GPS and job data, staff GPS and timesheets are listed[1]. EasyUse does not record where people are when they clock in.
- Routes. Auto Routing is listed as an add-on available in all plans[1]. EasyUse has no route optimisation.
- Payments and invoicing. Online card payments, Tap to Pay, deposits and progress invoicing are listed[1]. EasyUse does not collect payments.
- Accounting. Xero, QuickBooks Online and MYOB are named[1]. EasyUse supports QuickBooks Online only.
- Add-ons and API. Third-party add-ons and API access from Starter[1]. EasyUse has no add-on marketplace.
- Job profitability. Listed from Premium[1]. EasyUse tracks approved time per person and job; ask us whether that covers how you cost jobs.
- Track record. ServiceM8 is built for many trades. EasyUse is early software used daily by one Dundee landscaping firm, Green Palm Dundee Landscaping (about 7 staff), and being piloted by a few more.
Where EasyUse fits better
- No job counting. Recurring rounds do not push you up a plan.
- Built for landscaping and maintenance rounds. A rota that flags double-booking and holidays, jobs with a supervisor and named workers, garden-maintenance agreements, and a weed-spraying diary. See the features page.
- A lower price for any team that needs more than the free plan. Every paid ServiceM8 plan is priced above £15[1].
